About Calvary
Alive in the Spirit... Anchored in the WordNationally, Calvary is part of The Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada and a member of The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada.

Our Heritage and History
Calvary Church has a long and rich history of ministry in Owen Sound, beginning in 1899 when two missionary sisters arrived and established the Beulah Mission. Calvary has had four locations over the years, and known many name changes reflecting denominational mergers. Former names include City Mission, Calvary Mennonite Brethren in Christ, Calvary United Missionary, and Calvary Missionary.
Our Outlook and Future
Calvary Church is situated within a diverse neighbourhood – many young families, several apartment buildings with singles and active seniors, and West Hill Secondary School within sight, and easy walking distance. Calvary wants to truly be a light in our community. An addition was built in 2002 to provide a larger facility for ministries and community events. We continue to look forward and seek
to join with God where He is working.
